Save Camden

Posted on | August 29, 2007 | 1 Comment

Camden MarketIf you live in the UK and have never ventured to Camden Town, why the hell not? It’s an awesome place, filled with the most wierd and wonderful collection of shops and people I have ever come across.

One part of it is known as Camden Stables and it seems some low lifes in the local council has decided to try to commercialise the area (boo! hiss!), not realising that by doing do they are robbing not only those who work there, but those people who live and breath the life-blood that is Camden.

So, I ask you to sign this petition and save this wonderful area.

    Hi my name is Asha.

    I work on behalf of Camden Town Unlimited. I’d be really interested to hear your opinion on the £7m regeneration plans for Camden Town. It’s a scheme to improve the area as a place to work, live and visit. The plans include extensive footpath widening, the implementation of street furniture and tree planting.
    The plans are backed by the area’s biggest business names, including MTV Europe, Emap, Proud Galleries and Getty Images. They are also supported by British Waterways and Camden Lock Market, and both the Metropolitan Police and Camden Residents Forum are onside.

    For detailed information on the plans please go to;
